Biography for Paul Civiletto
Paul Civiletto is a watercolor painter whose work focuses on transport and industrial scenes. His primary subjects are depictions of contemporary railways and merchant vessels.
Older paintings in this series tended to be illustrative and accurate in detail, where as newer subjects have a more loose, painterly style.
All paintings begin as line drawings based of scenes he has sketched and photographed. The watercolors are completed in the studio. This series of transportation paintings were begun in 1998.
In addition to painting transport subject matter, he is also developing landscape and architectural watercolors.
Civiletto is a graduate of Texas A&M University. His primary occupation is as a graphic designer with a large Fortune 500 corporation.
